Exercise is an important aspect of keeping healthy, one of the main factors that we need to figure out is when we should exercise. This study looked at how the changes in our sleep time preferences (chronotype) might dictate when we exercise. They found that people who are morning people (early chronotype) find morning exercise a lot easier than afternoon or evening exercise, whilst evening people (late chronotype) found morning exercise harder to perform and afternoon exercise a lot more tolerable. Therefore, one of the considerations we should have when choosing when to exercise is what our body clock and chronotype is and try and match our exercise to it.
