Shoulder and neck pain is a common complaint from people who work at a desk or computer. Rehabilitating shoulder and neck pain tends to have an element of exercises focusing on the neck and shoulder muscles. This study looked at the effects of doing eccentric exercises of the trapezius muscle on shoulder and neck pain. Doing 5 weeks of trapezius eccentric training improved the pain felt in the shoulder and neck area. Therefore, in a neck and shoulder pain rehabilitation program we should add upper trapezius eccentric exercise.
