- Is exercising before bed bad?

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jsr.12964

Exercising can help improve sleep quality by making us feel tired and improving our body clock, however exercise close to bedtime may not be so helpful. This study looked at the effects of exercising 1-2 hours before bed on the quality of sleep. They found that doing exercise 1-2 hours before bed reduced the amount of restorative deep sleep (slow wave) and dream sleep (rapid-eye movement sleep). This was due to an increased core temperature and muscle pain.
