Losing weight can take years, and throughout the weight loss journey it is inevitable that food craving and urges occur. This study looked at the best mind set to use when dealing with food craving and urges. They found that thinking about long term consequences of following through with cravings is the most effective. So thinking about what consequences there will be if you were to give in to the craving or urge will help avoid carrying through with them.
